PBS Spotlights IFPHA Client

IFPHA’s founder, CEO and community nurse Kathey Avery is featured in a segment with IFPHA client Linda Falcone of Weaverville, in a newly released PBS North Carolina report, Mental Health Town Hall: Older Adults.

The report looks at the life changes that affect mental health as we age and the increased rates of anxiety, depression and isolation among older adults especially during the pandemic.

Learn how organizations such as IFPHA in Western North Carolina and PEARLS in the Charlotte area are bringing resources to older adults to build connection and resilience. Host Anita Brown-Graham moderates a panel in this latest of four ncIMPACT town halls focusing on mental health. The Older Adults episode first aired Sept. 15, 2023.
